Morgan Spurlock's Show - " 30 Days " ...

has recently highlighted the damage being caused to the Appalachain Mountain Range in West Virginia.  The damage is being caused by surface coal mining, also called mountain top removal coal mining. In this process mountain tops are literally blown up, leaving a level surface. The effect is that it looks like someone has come by and cut off the top of the tops of these mountains with a handsaw. Take a look at the photos above to see what I mean. According to Morgan's show these mountains that are ruthlessly being exploited are 365 million years old and are being destroyed in only a few years. I will soon have more info.
